WALLEYE
Work the red stained depths for walleye that have been classed as some of the most palatable fish to swim the fresh waters of North America. The Red Lake walleye has comeback creating a solid walleye fishery that will not only put numbers in the boat has proven its trophy potential with several 27-28" fish in the landing net this year. Learn methods of locating and trigger fish in what some think is a featureless lake, spend the day with Jonny P learning Upper Red Lake is anything but featureless. Then have Jonny P's favorite launch Westwinds Resort not only fillet your catch by a licensed meat packer but also have them prepared with sides while you kick back with a beverage relaxing after a day on the water.
CRAPPIE
During the early part of open water season you may spend the day learning some of the very unique methods for targeting Upper Red Lake Crappies. Spider trolling, drop shot rigging and even crank bait presentations are used to target and capture the overgrown Red Lake Crappie. To fully understand the red lake Crappie you have hold one of these 15-16" mosters to realize just why poeple travel from around the world to chase these crappies.
